UDHAMPUR, June 16: Udhampur Police rescued 26 bovines at Tikri and arrested the bovine smuggler, here today.
Team of Police Post Tikri, led by Incharge Police Post Tikri, intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK14G-5760, which was on way to Kashmir valley. During the checking, the vehicle was found loaded with 26 bovine animals.
Police rescued all the animals and arrested the driver, identified as Riaz Ahmed, son of Mohd Dawood of Karnail Assar, Doda.
Police also seized the vehicle and registered a case FIR in this connection under relevant sections of law in PS Rehambal.
