Teenager drowns, another rescued

NOWSHERA, June 16: A tragic incident occurred in Nowshera today resulting in the death of one teenager boy and the hospitalization of another.

Reports said the two cousins had gone for a swimming in the nearby river but drowned.
Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the Police quickly arrived at the scene to assist the search and rescue operation by the locals. SHO Nowshera, Sumit Magotra, coordinated the efforts to recover the body and ensure swift medical attention for Amandeep Singh (15), son of Kamaljeet Singh, resident of Chowki, who was brought to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Nowshera where he was declared dead on arrival.
After conducting postmortem Dr Iqbal Malik the Block Medical Officer (BMO) of Nowshera handed over the body to the family.
Nakshpreet Singh (15), son of Kulbir Singh, resident of Chowki was found in serious condition and was immediately referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for advanced Medical treatment from SDH Nowshera.
