JAMMU, Mar 22: Police today arrested a bootlegger along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from Agar Jitto area, falling under the jurisdiction of Katra police station.
As per police sources, a police team from Katra police station led by SHO Sanjeev Gupta under the supervision of SP Katra Kulbir Singh laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian namely Ramesh Chander, son of Mani Ram of Agar Jitto, Katra.
During search, police recovered 45 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger.
A case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Katra police station and investigation started.
