JAMMU, Mar 22: “The Performers” performed folk dances festival for Maruti Suzuki Group Vehicleades in different venues of Jammu district from March 19 till today.
On March 19, the show was held at Kathua, on March 20 at R.S Pura & on March 22 at Akhnoor.
This is first time that some commercial houses are promoting Dogri culture with the help of “The Performers” who are always promoting Dogri folk, Dogri culture. Villagers appreciated the way “The Performer’s presented their dance programmes. Dances were performed on the songs of Dogri folk “Sunney Di Pakhi”. Gojri Song “Chithi Chaney Di” and famous song “Tarey Tudda Payeeya”. Well choreographed dances with professional touch was also appreciated by the Maruti Suzuki people.
Those who performed were; Renu, Ashima Sharma, Ikesh & Vinay Sultan. Choreography was done by Vijay Bunty & Sonia Rajput.
Urja Singh president ‘The Performers’ thanked the villagers who witnessed the show & who organised of this show.
