ADGP reviews security arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra in Ramban

RAMBAN, June 21: In preparation for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, visited Yatri Niwas Chanderkote and various locations in Ramban district today.
Accompanied by DIG Traffic Jammu Zone, Mohammad Hassab Mughal, DIG Doda Kishtwar Range, Shridhar Patil, SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar, SSP Traffic National Highway, Rohit Baskotra, and other police officers, ADGP Jain reviewed the security and logistical arrangements for the pilgrimage. The team inspected the facilities at Yatri Niwas Chanderkote and the Langar sites along NH44, ensuring all preparations are in place for the smooth conduct of the yatra.
Jain emphasized the importance of implementing cut-off timings to maintain a steady flow of pilgrims to and from Jammu and Kashmir.
He assured that additional police and traffic police personnel would be deployed on roads under construction to manage the increased traffic.
Speaking to reporters, ADGP Jain stated, “We are reviewing the arrangements made for the Amarnath Yatra. We will ensure the implementation of cut-off timings so that the flow of the yatra is smooth. More police and traffic police will be deployed on roads under construction.”
The first batch of pilgrims for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2024 is scheduled to be flagged off from Jammu on June 29.
