Week-long Shaurya Prashikshan Varg of Durgavahini concludes

JAMMU, June 22: The week-long Shaurya Prashikshan Varg of Durgavahini, a unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), concluded today at Baba Kailakh Dev Mandir at Thathar, Bantalab near here.
The training camp started on June 15 and concluded with a valedictory function today. Total 123 girls from Jammu region and UT of Ladakh participated in the special training programme and they were given training in self defense and Judo etc, VHP spokesperson Rajesh Bhasin said.
On the occasion, the State vice president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Shakti Dutt Sharma said that the sisters taking training demonstrated physical and intellectual capacity. The work of Durgavahini is based on service, security and manners. “Our girls should be aware of their religious scriptures and culture, only then they can face those people in the society who make indecent comments on our deities and culture”.
State president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Leelakaran Sharma in his address said that the girls who are taking training from here will work in their respective areas and awaken society and imbibe the spirit of self services among people.
Sadhvi Jyoti Maa of Usha Mata Mandir praised Vishwa Hindu Parishad for giving such valuable training to the girls and imbibing them moral values. Vibhag Adhyaksh of the Parishad Dr. Soni Sambhayal complimented the Mandir Committee and the people who supported this class.
On this occasion, Satsang Parmukh Sushma Sharma, Sanskrit Bhaarti Adhyaksh Purushottam Dubey, Shabnam Sharma, Sheetal Dutta, Vandana Khajuria, Pamela Sharma from Matri Shakti, Prabhakar Khajuria, Karni Sena chief Arjun Singh, Sunil Dutt Raka etc were present.
