JAMMU, Mar 24: In a hotly contested election of All Jandyal Sabha at Devasthan of Baba Sahej Nath, Rajeev Jandial has been elected president of the Sabha for next two years’ tenure.
Rajeev Jandial defeated Yash Pal Jandyal in a straight contest by a margin of 56 votes. He polled 537 votes while Yash Pal got 481 votes.
This was announced by the 3-member election authority constituted by the Sabha to conduct election. Headed by KB Jandial member PSC, the panel comprised Choudhary Vidya Sagar, retired District and Session Judge and Ashwani Jandial, a prominent businessman as members.
Rajeev Jandial was general secretary of the Sabha in the outgoing management.
