Name Railway bridge on Dr Mookherjee: Sharma

JAMMU, June 24: Chander Mohan Sharma, senior leader JK BJP, asked party’s High Command to name the world class highest railway bridge at Reasi which is a monumental example of India’s technology and engineering, as Dr Mookherjee bridge. It will be most suitable name. Sharma was addressing gatherings at Tawi Arti Ghat, Trikuta Yatri Niwas and another gathering at Paloura.
Dr Mookherjee had laid his life for unity and integration of the county. It was his supreme sacrifice which actually opened the doors of J&K State for rest of the citizens of country and the world. At this point of time when Indian Railway has successfully negotiated with all challenges of hostile terrain to reach Kashmir Valley, naming of that bridge will be a befitting tribute to the great leader and all those who laid their lives during historical Praja Parishad movement in J&K. Throwing the light on the life of Dr Mookherjee BJP leader said that when boundaries of Pakistan were being drawn it was his instance the half of the State territories of Punjab and Bengal state could be retained in India.
Others who paid tribute to Dr Mookherjee in the programme included, Dr Rajinder Misra, Chander Kant Sharma, Dr Acharya Abhishek Kumar Upadhyaya, Suneet Raina ex-Corporator, Rakesh Sharma, general secretary of JKSS TR Sharma. Tawi Arti was performed at the culmination.
