Modi to hold 185 rallies after Vaishno Devi blessings

JAMMU, Mar 24: BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi would formally launch his election campaign for 2014 general elections with the blessings of Goddess Vaishno Devi Ji on March 26. Mr Modi is scheduled to address 185 election rallies covering 295 Lok Sabha constituencies across the country during the elections.
Special police teams from Gujarat and Udhampur-Reasi police today conducted special rehearsals for the yatra of Mr Modi to holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi ji in Trikuta hills of Katra.
DIG Udhampur-Reasi range Gareeb Dass said all security arrangements have been made for the visit of Mr Modi.
Official sources said Mr Modi would land in a special private jet Air Force field in Udhampur around 8 am and board private helicopter for Sanji Chat. He would trek remaining distance of three kilometers on foot to Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan and seek blessings of the Goddess before setting on the journey of ‘Mission 272+’’.
Mr Modi would fly in the same private helicopter to Hiranagar and address a massive rally in support of BJP candidate for Udhampur-Doda Dr Jitendera Singh and Jammu-Poonch nominee Jugal Kishore Sharma.
He would return in the private helicopter to Udhampur and board special jet for New Delhi in the afternoon.
The Hiranagar rally of Mr Modi would be first of the 185 election rallies.
