SAMBA, Mar 25: One person was killed while another was injured in two separate road mishaps which took place at Patli More in Samba district and near Kallar Dhar Road in Udhampur today.
As per reports, Sain Dass, son of Nath Ram of Tarore Vijaypur was hit by a tempo traveler at Patli More in Samba. He was shifted to Vijaypur Hospital in a serious condition where he succumbed to his injuries later.
The tempo traveler driver was arrested by the Bari Brahmana Police and a case has been registered against him. The tempo traveler bearing number DL1-VC0721 was on its way from Delhi to Katra.
The body of Sain Dass was handed over to family members by police after postmortem.
In another incident a motorcyclist identified as Mohan Lal, 42, son of Late Bali Ram of Ramnagar in district Udhampur was hit by an unidentified vehicle near Kallar, Dhar Road Udhampur this afternoon.
He was taken to district Hospital Udhampur for treatment and a case has been registered in police Station Udhampur in this regard.
