Ramnagar deserves better deal: Dr Jitendra

RAMNAGAR (UDHAMPUR), Mar 25: Continuing with his whirlwind election tour, BJP candidate for Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Lok Sabha Constituency, Dr Jitendra Singh, while addressing a series of road-shows and a workers’ meeting. here today said, while every one agrees that Ramnagar deserves a better deal, the question is why the elected MLAs or MPs or Ministers from this region had failed to provide it.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, it is a sad irony that even after 65 years of independence, people in interior areas continue to live in a medieval age. Road connectivity and basic amenities of life like regular water supply and uninterrupted power are still far from expectation, he added.
Dr Jitendra Singh blamed the Congress-led Government  for poor condition of roads and slow implementation of Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)  which was initiated during the tenure of Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. He promised that if BJP is voted, it would expedite work under PMGSY within one year.
If BJP is given representation from here, Dr Jitendra Singh said,it will not only ensure an equitable development of the area but also address the problem of unemployment which is forcing migration of youth from here to distant places besides ordering a probe into Rs 25,000 crore Roshni scam of NC-Congress coalition. Irrigation schemes, health sector and adequate package for VDCs and SPOs will be his top priority, he added.
Narendra Modi has arrived as a new ray of hope for the nation, said Dr Jitendra Singh and added, BJP is not controlled by any dynasty and that is why It could choose a tea seller with a humble background as its Prime Ministerial candidate because, unlike several other parties, it is not a mother-son or father-son party. The party will go to people with Narendra Modi’s slogan of “Vote for India”, he said.
Senior BJP leader Pawan Gupta said the Congress candidate is no match to qualities of head and heart possesed by Dr Jitendra Singh and urged upon people not to waste their vote by polling it for anybody else.
Ashwani Charungoo, President Panun Kashmir, extended full support to Dr Jitendra Singh on behalf of Panun Kashmir.
Among others BJP District President Dina Nath Bhagat, Advocate Mohan Lal, Master Gopal, Master Hans Raj Chandel, Rajinder Sharma, Sachin Gupta, Amit Sharma and Sham Lal also addressed the meeting.
