NEW DELHI, June 27: Today, at the “Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav” in Goa, Vithal Chowdhary, president of “Youth for Panun Kashmir,” launched the second phase of ‘Ek Bharat Abhiyan, Chalo Kashmir Ki Aur.’
A handout issued by Youth 4 PK said this initiative, endorsed by over 1000 global Hindu organizations, aims to establish a separate homeland, “Panun Kashmir,” for Kashmiri Pandits amidst ongoing calls for justice and recognition of the genocide they have endured.
Addressing delegates from around the world, Chowdhary highlighted Kashmir’s historical significance to Indian civilization and decried the persistent targeted killings that have plagued Hindu communities. Recent incidents in Jammu underscore the urgency of securing a safe and permanent solution beyond Kashmir Valley, he added.
“Kashmiri Hindus have suffered through multiple genocides, including the devastating exodus of the 1990s,” Chowdhary stated, stressing the critical need for a lasting resolution. He called upon the global Hindu community to unite under the banner of ‘Ek Bharat Abhiyan’ and reaffirmed their commitment to reclaiming Kashmiri Pandits’ rightful homeland.
The ‘Ek Bharat Abhiyan’ stands as a resolute nationwide movement advocating for justice and rehabilitation, featuring widespread rallies and discussions aimed at raising awareness about the genocide faced by Kashmiri Hindus.
Chowdhary expressed deep appreciation for the unwavering support of delegates at the Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav, urging the Indian Government to formally acknowledge the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus as a historic tragedy and to enact legislation that criminalizes and punishes the perpetrators.
