JAMMU, June 29: In a remarkable display of community service and healthcare outreach, Ramakrishna Mission Hospital in Udeywala, Jammu, organized an Ayurvedic medical camp which was inaugurated by Dr Ashutosh Gupta (Principal, Government Medical College, Jammu).
In his inaugural address, Dr Ashutosh Gupta highlighted the importance of proactive healthcare measures and commended the efforts of all those involved in organizing the camp.
Dr Sudesh Gupta (MS Ksharsutra) and Dr Twinkle Gupta (MD Kayachikitsa), Associate Professors from the Government Ayurvedic Medical College (GAMC) Akhnoor, led the medical team. They were supported by a team of interns whose tireless efforts ensured the smooth and effective delivery of services.
The camp offered a range of specialized services, including Nadipariksha (pulse diagnosis), Prakriti Pariksha (body constitution analysis), Ksharsutra treatment (a specialized procedure in Ayurveda) and free blood sugar testing.
A total of 83 patients benefitted from the camp, receiving personalized medical consultations and treatments. The provision of free blood sugar testing enabled early detection and management of diabetes, a growing concern in the community. Additionally, free medicines were distributed to all patients.
Swami Yajnadharananda (Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu), highlighted the Organization’s commitment to the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Maa Sarada, and Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing service to humanity as a form of divine worship. He said that RamaKrishna Mission Medical Center is dedicated to delivering compassionate and comprehensive healthcare.
