JAMMU, June 30: Kishtwar-Gulabgarh (Paddar) road has been blocked due to major landslide in Nagseni area while Jammu-Poonch road remained blocked for several hours due to falling of boulders near Madana in Poonch district today.
Official sources said that Kishtwar-Paddar-Kellar Road was blocked due to massive landslide near Singrah Bridge at Patharnaki in Nagseni area today. It was raining in this belt during last night.

The road could not be cleared this evening while the authorities have launched road clearance work.
The District administration has advised the general public to plan their journey accordingly and avoid unnecessary travelling and venturing on the route until landslide is cleared at the said location and road is open for traffic.
Meanwhile, another landslide hit and closed Jammu-Poonch highway near Madana in Poonch due to which traffic movement was stalled for hours on this road on Sunday.
Official sources said that the road widening work is going on in this area where landslide/ debris including big boulders fell on the road resulting the closure of road, effecting traffic movement near Madana. With this, hundreds of vehicles on both sides passengers remained stranded for hours. The people themselves removed some boulders but the main slide was later cleared by the JCBs of the highway authorities.
Pertinent to mention that due to road widening work on Jammu-Poonch Highway on this stretch, complaints of long traffic jams have been already received many times. Commuters have urged administration to take up work in the manner that people may not suffer due to this work.
