JAMMU, June 30: Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president and Priya Sethi, National Executive Member BJP and former Minister today inaugurated a Langar for the visiting devotees of the Amarnath Yatra at Tirupati Balaji Temple, in Majeen area on the outskirts of Jammu. The Langar has been organized by the Jai Amarnath Langar Sewa Samiti and will continue to serve devotees till the last day of the Amarnath Yatra.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said that the Amarnath Yatra holds immense significance, both spiritually and culturally. This annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave in Jammu and Kashmir is one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism, attracting thousands of devotees from around the world. The journey to the cave, which houses a naturally formed ice lingam representing Lord Shiva, is considered a test of faith and endurance. The Yatra not only reinforces the spiritual beliefs of the pilgrims but also fosters a sense of unity, as people from diverse backgrounds come together to undertake this sacred journey.
Priya Sethi, in her address, emphasized the importance of the Amarnath Yatra, not only as a religious pilgrimage but also as a symbol of peace and communal harmony. She highlighted the commitment of both the Central and the Union Territory (UT) Governments to ensuring a safe and incident-free Yatra by implementing a comprehensive security plan to address any potential threats.
The Langar at Tirupati Temple, Jammu, will provide meals to thousands of pilgrims daily, ensuring that their journey is comfortable and spiritually enriching.
