SAMBA, June 30:- A new team of Lions Club was formed in Samba and Varinder Slathia was elected its president for the next one year.
A meeting of senior members was organized by the Lions Club in Samba in which a large number of members were present. In the new team of Lions Club, besides Varinder Slathia as its president, Surinder Mishra has been elected vice president, Amardeep Singh as general secretary, Naresh Chandel as treasurer and Vivek Goswami has been given the responsibility of public relations.
After getting the responsibility, the newly appointed president Varinder Slathia said that his entire team will fulfil their responsibility with honesty. He said that his organization has been playing its role in social work for the last several years in which two free eye operations are done every year for the poor and helpless people, along with this, a vehicle has been donated to Swarg Dham Samba, the entire maintenance of which is done by our organization.
The people of the organization participate enthusiastically in many activities including distribution of books and warm clothes to poor children. Former Lions Club president, Vijay Gupta, retired Captain Inder Singh, Mandeep Sambyal, Rakesh Sambyal, Rajnish Pargal, Vikas Gupta, Ankush Gupta and many other members were present in the meeting.
