RAJOURI, July 1: A serious accident took place at Rajdhani involving two tempos bearing registration number JK02AS- 5520 and JK11A- 8279 and one Eeco vehicle bearing registration number JK11E 7422.
The tempos, which were over speeding and moving from Thannamandi to Rajouri, collided with the Eeco vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction from Rajouri to Thannamandi.
According to initial reports, one of the tempos attempted to overtake the other, resulting in a collision with the Eeco. The impact caused all three vehicles to crash at the same spot. The drivers of both tempos fled the scene immediately after the accident.
The passengers in the Eeco sustained injuries and were promptly shifted to CHC Thannamandi. A doctor at CHC Thannamandi confirmed that the injured have been referred to GMC Rajouri for further treatment. The injured have been identified as Arshad Ahmed, resident of Prori Gujran; Mehraj- U- Din resident of Prori and Mohammad Kabir, resident of Mehjoor Thannamandi.
Police have registered the case under FIR No. 101 U/S 279/337 in PS Thannamandi and started investigation.
