ABVP demands equitable course offerings at CUJ

JAMMU, July 1: ABVP unit of Central University of Jammu (CUJ) has demanded that the University must reinstate social sciences and other sanctioned courses without delay to ensure a balanced and inclusive academic environment.
“Introducing new courses in any educational institution is paramount for the welfare and growth of the student community. However, this advancement should not come at the expense of other crucial courses. The Law Department, which had already received sanctioned posts, has been inexplicably terminated and replaced with engineering courses. Additionally, the M.A. Economics course has been discontinued, despite its significance,” the ABVP unit said in a statement.
While the students have been consistently demanding the initiation of courses such as History, Political Science, Geography and Physical Education to benefit the local student population, the University administration’s actions appear to disregard these valid demands, adversely affecting the interests of many students.
ABVP CU Jammu unit demanded immediate and positive action from the University administration.
