Billawaria holds public darbar at Darap

JAMMU, July 2: To ensure that the basic facilities reach the doorsteps of the people, former Deputy Mayor Jammu and senior BJP leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria listened to the public grievances by organising public darbar at various places in Jammu.
Billawaria listened to the problems of the people in the public darbar organised at Darap Panchayat in RS Pura-Jammu South constituency. Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that organising the public darbar, people will get the information about the party’s ideology and Government schemes. He said that the way of working of the senior leaders and activists of the BJP party is different from other parties. BJP activists are not among the people only during the elections but also share their happiness and sorrows, he added.
Billawaria further said that the main demand of the people in the Janata Darbar was to get the road connecting Shiv Nagar Mohalla to Darap Panchayat paved. The residents of the area said that this road has been lying rough for the last several years and there is no proper facility for drainage of dirty water. The local resident informed Billawaria that they have demanded to get this street renovated by laying tiles many times but no attention was paid to it. Billawaria said that the concerned Department has been informed and the development work of this road will be completed very soon by completing the tender process within a few days.
In the Janata Darbar, Sohan Singh Katal from Darap Panchayat placed a demand to beautify the crematoriums in Darap and Shergarh areas as and to carry out development work there for the convenience of the people. The residents of the area demanded blacktopping of the road leading to crematorium, construction of a bathing place, seating arrangement for the people coming to the funeral and lighting arrangements.
Girdhari Lal from Khawaskhan village placed a demand for the construction of the bridge in the Janata Darbar.
Billawaria said that the issue of development works will also be brought to the notice of Jammu MP Jugal Kishore Sharma so that basic facilities can be provided to people at their doorsteps. He also complimented the people of Darap Panchayat for their enthusiastic support to the BJP party in the Lok Sabha elections.
