JAMMU, July 2: Congress has demanded a time bound judicial enquiry into the incident of desecration of holy idols in a temple at Darmari in district Reasi to identify the culprits and expose their motive behind the incident.
Strongly condemning the serious incident hurting the religious sentiments of the people, which allegedly happened during broad day-light, JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla, senior vice president & chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, DCC president Bhupinder Singh Jamwal and general secretaries PCC Rajesh Sadotra & Rakesh Wazir demanded independent judicial enquiry into the incident to expose the conspiracy behind the incident.
“The culprits should be identified and booked under heinous offences for stern & exemplary punishments,” they said and questioned the failure of the police administration to trace out the culprits of the incident after two days, even though incident took place during broad day light. No one should be spared who are involved in hurting religious sentiments of people in order to provoke breach of peace and disturb peaceful atmosphere, the Congress leaders asserted.
