RBI organises sensitisation programme for Police Officials

LEH, July 3 : A sensitisation programme organised for the officials of Ladakh Police concluded here today.
The programme was organised by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Jammu, on legal provisions and investigative aspects on various regulated as well as unincorporated bodies, digital lending apps and cyber frauds.
Dr. S.D Singh Jamwal, ADGP, UT of Ladakh inaugurated and presided over the program as Chief Guest.
The programme covered sessions on various aspects of banking & non-banking business, modus operandi and various other preventive and investigative measures, financial frauds in securities market and role of SEBI, Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes (BUDS) Act, 2019.
Various initiatives by the regulators like guidelines on Key Fact Statement (KFS), Guidelines on digital lending and Fair Practice Code for lenders was also discussed in the program.
Among others, who attended the programme included Stanzin Nurboo, AIG Personnel, Ram Sarup, Deputy General Manager, RBI, Bhartendra Kumar Gupta, Deputy General Manager, SEBI, Shruti Arora, SP Leh, Farhan Jahanzeb Naqash, SO to ADGP, Sudesh Kumari, AGM, RBI among other officials.
Over 40 Police Officers of various ranks from Ladakh Police attended the programme.
