JAMMU, July 5: The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, Dr Sunil Gupta, today flagged off the Bharat Darshan Tour of 75 students from various parts of the Samba District.
Under the tour organised by the Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Jammu under Civic Action Programme (CAP), students, accompanied by two caretakers from Samba District, will embark on a journey from Jammu to Delhi, and Delhi to Mumbai, by air.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony of the tour here at Gulshan Ground Jammu, Dr Sunil Gupta emphasized the significance of Civic Action Programme, which according to him, aims to bridge the gap between the police and the public, especially the youth, by engaging them in constructive activities.
“The tour promises to be an educational and memorable experience for the participants, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore the rich cultural tapestry of the nation,” the DIG JSK Range said.
SSP Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar, SO to ADGP Jammu Zone, Vishal Manhas, and other officers were also present on the occasion.
