JAMMU, July 5: On the directions of Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, a Sanitation team of JMC today conducted surprise inspection and seized 200 kg banned poly carry bags from Shiv Nagar market in Ward number 33.
The JMC team, led by Health Officer, Dr Vinod Sharma, also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on the erring shopkeepers.
Besides, the JMC appealed general public not to use polythene to save the environment and choking of drainage system.
