SRINAGAR, July 6: Former Union Minister, Prof Saifuddin Soz has said that if PM Modi intends to run India democratically, then he should reconstitute the Cabinet Committees including members of the opposition parties.
“I think the Constitution of India does not prohibit the Govt of India to include members of the opposition parties in the Cabinet Committees. In case there is some significant difficulty in associating members of the opposition, the subject must then be debated at political and constitutional forums. The Opposition cannot and should not be left out as that will mar the public Interest,” Soz said in a statement today.
“PM Modi should not follow the precedent, if any, as that will harm the overall public interest,” Soz added.
