India-China relations

Sir,
The recent meeting between External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Astana highlights a crucial step towards resolving the prolonged border issues in eastern Ladakh. The commitment to respect the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and adhere to past agreements is essential for stabilizing bilateral relations.
It is imperative for both nations to expedite diplomatic and military efforts to ensure peace and tranquility in the border areas. Mutual respect, sensitivity, and interest must guide our future interactions.
Additionally, the international community must support efforts to combat terrorism and hold accountable those who harbor terrorists, as emphasized by Jaishankar at the SCO summit. This moment calls for decisive action and cooperation to foster a peaceful and stable regional environment.
