The documents reveal that the candidate was selected as Laboratory Assistant in Community Health Center (CHC) Keller out of four shortlisted candidates under NRHM.
“The selected candidate was not even eligible to apply, but his application form was accepted by the department and he was called for interview and adjusted against the only advertised post,” said an aspirant, who was dropped in the list despite have relevant qualification.
Chief Medical Officer Shopian, Dr Prahlad Singh, feigned ignorance about the selection of Lone. “The said candidate was selected before I took the charge as CMO Shopian. I don’t know anything about his selection,” said Dr Singh.
Ali Mohammad, Head Clerk at CMO Shopian’s office, admitted that the office had erroneously accepted the application of Lone too without his (candidate’s) signatures.
The official said that after the complaints registered by other deserving candidates, his order was put in abeyance. However, the aggrieved candidates said that Lone is regularly attending the office.
