Proper water supply among demands raised by TNWS

JAMMU, July 8: A meeting of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) was held here today under the chairmanship of R.P Kakkar, president TNWS.
Speakers in the meeting raised the demand of proper drinking water supply and voiced for one new bore-well in Ward number 54, Trikuta Nagar.
They also said that the Government should also consider Chenab River Water Project which can fulfil the drinking water problems of entire Jammu city including Trikuta Nagar colony forever.
The speakers also said that Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) should check its system of door-to-door garbage collection which is neither regular nor the Safai Karamcharis carry garbage cleared from drains daily because the lifting vehicle remains unavailable.
The TNWS members in the meeting also said that street lights should be maintained and operated from the Command Control Room to ensure that in day time these lights go automatically off.
They also demanded reconstruction of speed breakers using concrete material for their long life and claimed that the material used in recently constructed speed breakers on main roads in Trikuta Nagar was not of good quality.
Another demand raised on the occasion was removal of hanging cables in the area.
The meeting was attended by Ashok Kumar Arora, Sandeep Sharma, Rubal Mahajan, Krishan Lal Gupta, V.K Suri, Harsh Vardhan Gupta, S.N Kaul and Dr. T.R Gupta.
