UDHAMPUR, July 8: Police arrested two drug peddlers from Tikri area and recovered 8.93 grams of heroin like contraband substance from their possession, here today.
The accused, identified as Muzamil, son of Riaz and Saqib, son of Abdul Ahad, both residents of near Dalgate, Srinagar, were apprehended by a team of Police Post Tikri, during routine patrolling at Lehnu on Tikri-Katra Road.
Police recovered 8.93 grams of heroin like contraband substance from the said accused, who were arrested on the spot.
A case FIR under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in this connection in Police Station Rehambal. Further investigation in the case is going on.
