RAMBAN, July 8: Police here today arrested a peddler and seized 4 litres of illicit liquor and 20 litres of Lahan from his possession.
Cops from Police Station Dharamkund got inputs that one Dharam Chand, son of Balak Ram, resident of Jawari Meghdhar, in Ramban was preparing Desi liquor for illegal selling and was having Desi liquor in his possession also.
Cops went to the spot and seized 4 litres Desi liquor, 20 litres Lehan and some accessories used for manufacturing illicit liquor from Dharam Chand and arrested him.
In this regard, a case in FIR No. 29/2023 was registered under relevant Sections of Excise Act at Police Station Dharamkund and investigation started.
