JAMMU, July 9: Government has designated existing courts of District Judges and Additional District Judges of each district as the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority.
“The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir is pleased to designate existing courts of District Judges and Additional District Judges of each district as the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority(s),” said an order issued by the Government.
Further, the LG in consultation with Chief Justice, High Court of J&K and Ladakh, has appointed all the District Judges and Additional District Judges in each district as the Presiding Officers of the concerned authorities within their respective jurisdiction for providing speedy disposal of disputes relating to land acquisition, compensation, rehabilitation and resettlement.
