JAMMU, July 9: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Jammu University unit, organised a seminar to celebrate National Students’ Day and ABVP Foundation Day, showcasing its enduring dedication to student leadership and academic excellence.
The program commenced with welcome address by Sahil Choudhary, President of ABVP Jammu University, who highlighted the organisation’s role in shaping student lives and fostering a culture of growth and responsibility.
JU Research scholar and ABVP State Universities Convenor, Ravail provided an insightful overview of ABVP’s extensive work and its impactful initiatives aimed at empowering students across the nation.
Akshi Billowria, Secretary of ABVP Jammu and Kashmir, discussed ABVP’s 76-year journey, emphasising the organisation’s adherence to the principles of Swami Vivekananda. “ABVP’s commitment to Swami Vivekananda’s vision of youth empowerment and nation-building has been unwavering. For 76 years, we have strived to create an environment where students can thrive, learn, and contribute meaningfully to society. Our focus remains on fostering a spirit of nationalism and holistic development among the youth,” she said.
The event featured a series of enriching activities, including debates, cultural performances, and a panel discussion on the contemporary role of youth in nation-building.
A special tribute was paid to ABVP’s founding members, acknowledging their visionary efforts in establishing an organisation that has been instrumental in addressing student issues and advocating for educational reforms. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Chaitanya Magotra.
