SAMBA, July 9: Police under operation Sanjeevani arrested a lady drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur, district Samba and recovered 5.64 grams heroin like substance from her possession.
A police party of PS Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur during surprise vehicle checking naka at Canal Road Shivnagar, Vijaypur, noticed a lady moving in the area under suspicious circumstances. During frisking by lady police official, approximately 5.64 grams heroin like substance along with weighing machine was recovered from the possession of said accused lady.
The lady drug peddler namely Zaitoon Bibi, wife of Roshan Din of Rakh Barotain Vijaypur has been arrested and contraband item has also been seized by the police.
A case FIR No. 90/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
