JAMMU, July 9: The Police Hospital Jammu (PHJ) marked a significant milestone with the successful commencement of in-door facilities in its Gynaecology Department, celebrated by the birth of its first baby delivered at the hospital.
As per a statement, a healthy baby girl, weighing 2.8 kg, was born at 5:38 am, with both mother and child doing well.
The newborn received her first day immunization at the hospital, showcasing PHJ’s commitment to comprehensive maternal and neonatal care.
Dr Meenakshi Kotwal, Superintendent of Police Hospital, congratulated the medical team and the parents on this joyous occasion.
Emphasizing the hospital’s green initiative, Dr Kotwal presented a sapling to the parents, announcing that PHJ will gift a fruit-bearing plant to every newborn.
This initiative encourages parents to nurture both their child and the environment.
