JAMMU, July 9: In a joint meeting here today Estates Employees Association and Jammu Estates Government Employees Union elected Jeet Raj as president of J&K Estates Employees Union Committee.
Subash Chander was elected as Chairman; Babu Ram, vice president; Satish Kumar Sharma, general secretary; Hardeep Singh, chief coordinator and Rajesh Sharma, cashier.
For the Daily Wagers Employees Union, Kuldeep Sharma was elected as president and Kewal Sharma, vice president.
After election, the newly formed body resolved to make joint efforts for reorganisation of staff strength of the Estates Department, regularisation of casual/daily rated workers, provision of two and half days additional pay and reimplementation of old pension scheme.
