JAMMU, July 10: The 20 days long skill awareness workshop organised by National Institute of Fashion Design (NIFD) concluded here today.
The comprehensive workshop offered a wide range of courses in fashion, interior design, beauty, makeup, nail art and bakery skills.
The workshop witnessed an overwhelming response from enthusiastic students who availed on-the-spot admissions to secure their seats.
Renowned industry experts and a few faculty of NIFD including Ashwarya Thakur (Bakery), Harpreet and Sheetal (Paintings and Print Development, Stitching), Mamta (Tie and Dye), Anjali and Rashmi (Nail Art and Makeup) conducted classes during the workshop.
The workshop was aimed to equip the students with hands-on skills and knowledge in various creative fields.
The courses were meticulously designed to cater to diverse interests and skill levels ensuring that each participant took home valuable learning experiences.
“We are thrilled with the response and enthusiasm shown by the students,” said Vanita, Director, NIFD adding: “We have been giving direction to the students since the last 27 yrs and have had 100 batches passed out in various courses since NIFD’s inception in 1997.”
She said that they feel proud in saying that they are having 100 per cent job placements in Jammu and also in Delhi, Ludhiana and Surat to name a few.
“Our aim is to empower young minds with the skills and confidence to excel in their chosen fields and we look forward to many more such initiatives in future,” Vanita continued.
