JAMMU, July 10: Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Jalandhar has ordered release of Royal Singh, son of Manjit Singh of Dalpatian Mohalla, Jammu in a case registered under NDPS Act.
After hearing counsel for the accused and Additional Public Prosecutor, the court observed, “this application has been moved by the prosecution for releasing the accused from the custody under Section 169 CrPC”, adding “the Investigating Officer of the case has submitted that as per the findings of FSL the sample found containing salt, which doesn’t fall under the NDPSA”.
Accordingly, court ordered release of Royal Singh from the custody subject to the condition that he shall execute bond with or without surety subject to the satisfaction of SHO concerned within an undertaking to appear before the court as and when so called.
