JAMMU, July 11: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered suspension of Punit Pal Singh, Incharge Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical), RTIC Jammu for his un-authorized absence from duties.
According to an order in this regard, issued by the Public Works (R&B) Department, the said AEE did not resume his duties till date whereas he was sanctioned leave for attending function at his sister’s home in USA with effect from January 3, 2024 to January 30, 2024.
Even as no further extension in leave has been granted to the engineer beyond January 30, 2024, he was still unauthorizedly absent from duties. Sufficient opportunities were given to resume his duties for which notices were also served upon him but as reported by the Jal Shakti Department, he did not resume his duties till date, says the order.
“Now, therefore, in terms of rule 31 of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, control & Appeal) Rules, 1956, Punit Pal Singh is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect for his un-authorized absence from duties,” reads the order.
