DODA, July 11: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, chaired a District Level Standing Committee meeting to address the issue of encroachment on State and Departmental Land.
The meeting reviewed 14 cases of land encroachment in detail. The primary objective was to discuss various litigations and objections concerning encroachments and to formulate strategies for resolving these issues.
Attendees included ACR Doda Sunil Bhutyal, Superintendent Engineer PWD (R&B) Circle Doda, DFO Doda, the Principal of Govt SP Aman Thakur Memorial Degree College Kastigarh, and Tehsildars from Doda, Bhagwah, and Thathri, among others.
The participants were directed to come prepared with complete information and documentation related to the encroachment cases they were handling. The discussions focused on evaluating the evidence presented and formulating strategies for legal actions, preventive measures, and reclaiming encroached land.
The DC emphasized taking stern action against the state land encroachment mafia. He instructed concerned officers and officials to ensure that all records and information regarding state land encroachments are up-to-date. Specific instructions were given for timely and effective implementation of the decisions made, including regular follow-ups to ensure compliance.
The meeting concluded with a review and discussion on litigation and objections related to land encroachment, presentations of evidence and information by the concerned officers, and the formulation of strategies for resolving these issues. Directions for legal actions and preventive measures were issued, highlighting the need for timely implementation and regular follow-ups.
