ADM Ramban imposes Rs 30000 penalty on Health Supplement Company

RAMBAN, July 11: Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Ramban, Varunjeet Singh Charak, who also serves as the Adjudicating Officer, has imposed a substantial penalty of Rs. 30,000 on a Pharma company also operating in the district. This action is part of a robust enforcement drive aimed at ensuring compliance with the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006 (FSS Act-2006).
The case was resolved with penalties levied against the traders, including a Health Supplement Company namely Canron Healthcare HI -46, RIICO Industrial area Sarna Dunger Jaipur Rajasthan for manufacturing misbranded insta C in the case titled Food safety officer Block Banihal V/s Shawnawaz and other. Retailer FBO was already fined for Rs. 4000 in this case. The company was given stern warning to be careful in the future and comply with the Provisions of FSSA-2006 otherwise strict action will be taken.
This enforcement action targeted multiple manufacturers, wholesale dealers, and retailers found to be violating the provisions of the FSS Act-2006. The ADM, acting as the Adjudicating Officer, underscored the critical importance of adhering to the legal standards governing the food and pharmaceutical industries. He cautioned that any future violations would result in even more severe penalties.
The ADM also instructed the Enforcement Agency to take decisive actions against the violators, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to upholding public health and safety standards as per the directives of the FSS Act-2006.
