Police arrests accused from Delhi

JAMMU, July 11: Police in Jammu District today claimed to have executed a non-bailable warrant by arresting an accused from Chanakyapuri area of Delhi.
A police official said that Police Station Peer Mitha executed the non-bailable warrant issued against Khurshid Ahmad Mir of Boniyar, Baramulla, Kashmir at present House number 179, Gujjar Nagar, Jammu, by the court of Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class Munsiff Court, Jammu.
He said the accused, who was wanted in a case under the 138 NI Act, was absconding and evading his arrest since long.
Two different teams were constituted by SDPO City North Jammu to arrest him, he said, adding that one of the teams headed by PSI Surjeet Singh successfully apprehended the accused from Chanakyapuri area of Delhi and accordingly produced him before the court for further course of action.
