POONCH, July 11: In a significant and rare decision, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary ordered the ab initio cancellation of PSP certificate of newly selected Munsiff, Abrar Nawaz Qureshi, a resident of village Chhajla, in Tehsil Mankote, of district Poonch, while adjudicating the two crucial set of appeals titled Mohd Asif Vs Tehsildar Mankote & Anr and Priya Sharma & Anr Vs. UT of Jammu Kashmir & Ors.

Counsel of the appellants Advocate Mobeen Khan said that the judgment is unique and rare whereby the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, analysed every aspect and prospect of the category certificate of the respondent Abrar Nawaz Qureshi on the basis of factum and finally gave the message of his utmost understanding about the subject.
It is pertinent to mention that Abrar Nawaz Qureshi was selected as Prosecuting Officer in the year 2023 and joined as Prosecuting Officer at the strength of said Pahari Speaking People category certificate. Mohd Asif of Rajouri questioned the PSP on the basis of which the respondent Abrar was selected as Prosecuting Officer and Priya Sharma challenged it as the same PSP was used to get selection in Civil Judge Junior Division 2023/Munsiff.
Infact Abrar managed to secure PSP and ALC certificates during the same year (2021-22). He produced fraudulent documents to manage the selection. A person who was selected to ensure justice to the society took the unjust course to get the PSP certificate, the Counsel said.
