Theft case worked out: Police

JAMMU, July 12: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Chowk Chabutra area here claimed today, they have worked out a theft case.
A police official said on July 5, 2024, a case FIR number 70/2024 under sections 454, 380 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga on the complaint of one Ajay Khanna of Mast Garh Jammu, regarding some unidentified thieves barging into his residence on June 27, 2024, who decamped with gold ornaments including 3 gold rings weighing around 14 grams and 150 milligrams and Rs 11,200 in cash.
During the course of investigation in the case by PSI Anil Kumar, incharge Police Post Chowk Chabutra, under the guidance of SHO Pacca Danga, SDPO City North and overall supervision of SP City North, one suspect later identified as Amit Pal Singh of Jhullaka Mohalla was detained for questioning, said the police official.
He said the suspect named another individual identified as Ankush Anand of Jhullaka Mohalla for their collective involvement in the crime.
On their disclosure, the police official said the stolen gold items were recovered with further investigation in the case set into motion.
