JAMMU, July 12: A fire broke out at a hardware shop in Nanak Nagar area here today.
Officials said the fire erupted in Prem Hardware Store, Nanak Nagar, Jammu, around 10:36 Am apparently due to short-circuiting in the generator installed at the top floor of the store.
Soon after getting information, they said, 7-8 fire tenders were pressed into the service along with assistance from local police to control the flames.
The fire was completely controlled by 3 pm, they said.
Meanwhile, authorities are assessing the losses incurred by the owner of the hardware store.
