EJAC delegation meets CS, raises demands

SRINAGAR, July 12: A delegation of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) J&K here today met Chief Secretary and discussed critical issues faced by the employees.
The delegation demanded implementation of Minimum Wages Act and regularization of daily wagers and ITI trained workers.
The delegation was led by EJAC president, Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam and he presented an in-depth analysis of issues like pay anomalies, release of GP funds pending in treasuries etc which the employees across various sectors face.
He pressed for withdrawing the New Pension Scheme and restoration of Old Pension Scheme and also to withdraw the order regarding pensioners to be physically present before the Treasury Officers for verification.
The delegation members urged the Chief Secretary to expedite the regularization process of daily wagers and ITI trained workers.
The Chief Secretary acknowledged the concerns raised by EJAC and assured that the Government is committed to address these issues.
