UDHAMPUR, July 14: The two-day annual Sabour Mela concluded d today at Ladha Dhar of Udhampur with overwhelming participation of general public and visitors who thronged the mela site from different areas of District Udhampur and Jammu.
The two day mela witnessed sports activities, folk music and cultural performances by students of different schools of the area which were highly appreciated by general public.
On concluding day, Pawan Khajuria, Vice President BJP JK, was the chief guest while Balwant Singh Mankotia, former MLA, was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Khajuria said that such festivals not only fulfill the religious aspirations and get spiritual bliss but also provide people hailing from different areas to get a chance to interact together and share their experiences and joys.
He said that these fairs are a symbol of ‘our diverse culture and attract tourists as well as help in the socio-economic development of the area.
Subash Chander, DDC Narsoo, also spoke on the occasion and thanked District Administration for successful completion of the two- day mela.
