JAMMU, July 16: District Congress Committee Jammu Urban held a protest against a terror attack in Doda district today and series of other attacks in Jammu region in recent past leading to several casualties of our jawans.
Expressing solidarity with the martyrs and their families and raising slogans in favour of army and security forces, the Congress workers led by working president Raman Bhalla along with district President Manmohan Singh and other senior leaders strongly denounced terrorism and demanded action to control terrorism.
Carrying placards “Shaheed Jawan Amar Rahein”  “Our Forces Zindabad” “Atankwad Band Karo” etc, they raised slogans outside PCC headquarters at Shaheedi Chowk here and held a strong protest.

The Congress leaders questioned the failure of BJP Govt to deal with rise in terrorism in Jammu region and expressed grave concern over the growing situation. They registered the strong resentment and anger of the people over rise in terror activities and loss of precious lives in recent months and demanded strong action.
Senior vice president Ravinder Sharma, vice presidents-Yogesh Sawhney,  Ved Mahajan,  Rajnish Sharma ,  general secretaries Narinder Gupta (org),  Amrit Bali,  PCC secretary Dwarka Choudhary,  Congress Seva Dal chief Vijay Sharma, Mahila Congress president, Sandeep Dogra (OBC Cell), Nasir Masih (Minority Cell), Ricky Dalotra, Ram Prakash Magotra, Sat Pal Sapolia, Rakesh Sharma and others also accompanied.
Earlier, a meeting of District Congress Committee Jammu Urban led by Th Manmohan Singh was held at PCC office in which rich tribute were paid to the martyr soldiers in the recent attacks.
Speaking in the meeting Raman Bhalla  said that the Congress party stands with our Armed forces to eliminate terrorism but expressed great anger over rising terror attacks. He demanded firm action from Modi Govt to check Pakistan and  terrorism.
