Secretary Cooperatives holds public outreach program in Sunderbani

RAJOURI, July 16: Secretary Cooperatives, Babila Rakwal, held a public outreach program at Bajabain in Sundarbani block.
She was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat besides others.
The event served as a platform for direct interaction between the government and the public, addressing an array of critical issues. Several issues of public importance were brought to the forefront during this engaging session.
The Secretary conveyed commitment towards addressing the pressing issues brought forward by the local community. She emphasized that the top priority of the government is to ensure that basic facilities and services are delivered to the general public in an efficient, time bound and transparent manner.
Babila Rakwal assured the attendees that their concerns would be redressed at the priority. She affirmed that the Government would take concrete action to address the raised issues and work towards fulfilling the demands of the community. She underscored the commitment towards transparency and accountability within government institutions, highlighting the significant strides made in ensuring these principles.
Emphasizing the significance of the cooperative movement in raising the socio-economic status of public, the Secretary also highlighted the crucial role cooperative societies in promoting economic growth and social welfare. She stressed the importance of computerization of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and urged upon the public to form cooperatives, as the Ministry of Cooperation is taking new initiatives in the sector.
Later, as a gesture of respect and to raise awareness under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, the Secretary distributed baby care kits among the mothers of newborn infants.
