JAMMU, July 17: Two notorious criminals were arrested with a sharp-edged weapon in Kanachak area here today.
A police official said that acting on the written complaint of one Mahinder Kour wife of Avtar Singh of Chak Jaffar, two individuals identified as Gorav Singh and Pankaj Kumar Sharma, both residents of Marh, were arrested for threatening the complainant using a sharp-edged weapon.
On receiving the complaint, he said a formal case was registered and investigated set in motion.
During the course of investigation, both the accused were arrested with recovery of a sharp-edged weapon (toka) from their possession, said the police official.
“Further investigation into the case is underway,” he added.
