RAJOURI, July 18: In a significant outreach effort, Major General Manish Gupta, GOC Romeo Force visited Thannamandi today to met prominent people of the area.
A Defence spokesman said that this visit underscores Army’s unwavering commitment to ensuring peace and security in the region, while fostering stronger bonds with the community. During the visit, the General Officer engaged in meaningful discussions with a diverse group of local dignitaries including Sarpanchs, Panchs, religious leaders and other key community figures.
This interaction was aimed at reassuring the local populace of Army’s dedication to maintain peace and security as well as emphasizing the importance of collaboration between army and civilians to achieve these goals. He addressed the assembly highlighting the crucial role of Army in promoting a safe and secure environment for all residents. Several other Army Officers including Brig B S Sandhu and Col Rohit Bharat were also present.
The local people gave commitment in working closely with the Army to uphold peace and security. This visit strengthens the bond between Army and the local populace showcasing Army’s commitment to promoting unity harmony and resilience in Thannamandi and nearby areas. It reaffirms Army’s dedication to safeguarding the region and fostering mutual support for a secure future.
