JAMMU, July 18: Former Minister and senior vice president JK BJP, Sham Lal Sharma impressed for the release of all dues including gratuity, GP Fund, Leave Salary and Commutations for the pensioners of J&K UT.
Accompanied by Dil Bahadur Jamwal, convenor Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Puneet Mahajan, convenor Health & Medical Cell, and Prerna Nanda, secretary Mahila Morcha, Sham Lal Sharma was listening to the grievances of the masses, at BJP Headquarters Trikuta Nagar here, today.
A deputation of pensioners approached BJP Headquarters and requested him to pursue their genuine demand of releasing their dues including gratuity, GP Fund, leave salary, and commutations. They requested that they served the State for their whole lives and now after their retirement, they are falling short of money for the want of their dues to plan for their retirement half of their lives.
Another major deputation requested the former Minister that the Gun Licenses in the region are not renewed for many years. They represented that in view of the escalated tension due to the Pakistan-sponsored terror incidents in the Jammu region, their gun licenses should be renewed at the earliest.
Many other deputations from the areas like Patta Kathua, Hiranagar, Budgam, Rajpura Samba, Ghara Hiranagar, Manda Jammu, Katli Samba, Digiana, Bishnah, Barnai, TalabTillo, Rehari Colony, Sunderbani, Gandhi Nagar, Baba Kailakh, Trikuta Nagar, Kud, Nanak Nagar, Janipur, New Plot, RS Pura, Manpur Billawar, Khairi Raipur Bantalab, Sarwal represented the issues like construction of link road in Rajpura, close of meat shop near Mandir Hiranagar, construction of path in the field, street light repairs, repair of Mark 2 Handpumps at Katli, revenue issues, electric poles installation, JK Bank issue, JJM DPC related issue, land compensation, protection wall at nallah in Trikuta Nagar, property dispute, repair of tube well and other issues.
Sham Lal Sharma, while listening to the issues asked for a robust grievance redressal mechanism at multiple levels. He said that the public issues are mostly related to their day-to-day needs and development concerns which should be addressed promptly.
He especially emphasized the issues of pensioners and pressed for their quick disposal.
Dil Bahadur Jamwal deliberated on the issues presented and shared that more than 40 deputations visited the party headquarters to present their issues before the party leadership.
Puneet Mahajan said that many issues represented were sorted out on the spot and telephonic and written communications were made with the concerned departments for the others.
